Space: Business Office

This small office space was used by two partners to manage jobs, the business, and to instruct employees. Additionally, marketing, office and some business supplies were kept on-site.

While some materials were outdated or removed to a separate storage unit for business supplies, there were still more materials than organizational space. There was an existing paper management system, but with no office manager or admin support it had gotten out of control.

By moving records and business supplies off site, we were able to move the coffee station. The kitchenette then became storage for office supplies. Clearing the back-log of paper, trash and clutter, created a less stressful space. Tools were created to help form habits so the space remained efficient and productive.

Lessons Learned: Take the time to organize your business space. An unorganized space means you can’t find what you need when you need it. It is also difficult to keep a space tidy when it is so disorganized. Dig yourself out of the clutter and then set aside time to stay on top of it.
